On March 24, 2024, the Wood County Sheriff's Office responded to a call regarding a terroristic threat made against the caller. Deputies were dispatched to a residence on County Road 1818 in Grand Saline, TX.
The caller was identified as 37-year-old Justin Dean Cowart of Yantis. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Cowart had an active warrant for his arrest for Online Solicitation of a Minor. The warrant was issued by Bexar County.
Cowart was taken into custody and has since been released to the Bexar County agency.
In 2018, Cowart was arrested and convicted for Attempt to Commit Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. Cowart is on the Texas Sex Offender List.
