On March 31, 2024, Harrison County Deputies responded to an animal bite incident at Lansing Switch Rd in Longview.
The complainant reported setting up an Easter egg hunt for children, hiding eggs filled with treats across the property for a fun time.
During the hunt, a child strayed near a neighbor's mobile home where a blue nose pit bull was sunbathing.
A collision between the child and the pit bull occurred, resulting in a bite to the child's shin requiring surgery. As a consequence, the dog will be relocated to a new home.
