Four Arrested in Lufkin Pizza Delivery Driver Robbery

Early Tuesday morning, March 26th, Lufkin Police arrested four men in connection to the armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver.

Michael Harris, 17, Floyd Hennington, 19, Deanthony Minor, 19, and Amare White, 20, all of Lufkin, are charged with aggravated robbery in connection to the incident that occurred around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pinedale Manor Apartments in the 900 block of South Second Street.

A Domino’s Pizza employee reported being robbed at gunpoint of the order he was attempting to deliver – two pizzas and wings – along with his wallet by two black males. The suspects then fled on foot.

The ensuing investigation led officers to an apartment at the complex where the suspects were believed to be barricaded. Officers surrounded the apartment, loud hailed, and two suspects exited without incident. Two additional suspects refused to exit the apartment, but officers entered and took them into custody. The suspects were identified as Harris, Hennington, Minor, and White.

While searching the apartment, officers found Domino’s Pizza boxes, a pistol hidden in a laundry hamper, and uneaten pizza slices in a bathroom toilet as if the suspects were trying to flush the evidence.

They all remained in the Angelina County Jail Thursday morning – Harris and Hennington on bonds of $150,000 and Minor and White on bonds of $100,000.
