Nighttime Repairs at I-30/I-369/US 59 Interchange in Texarkana

Starting from 8 PM until 6 AM beginning March 27, 2024, the Contractor will be conducting repairs at the westbound I-30/I-369/US 59 interchange in Texarkana. This repair work necessitates the closure of the main lanes of I-30 from around Mile 222 (between FM 1397/Summerhill Road and Cowhorn Creek) to Mile 220 (between University and FM 989/Kings Highway). However, the westbound Frontage Road will remain accessible.

During this time, all westbound traffic on I-30 will be directed to exit at Exit 220B/Richmond Road exit in Texarkana. Traffic will then re-enter westbound I-30 between University and FM 989. For those traveling to I-369S/US 59S, they will need to utilize the westbound frontage road to University Ave. and take the westbound to eastbound U-Turn bridge to the eastbound frontage road leading to the I-369/US 59 entrance ramp.

These nighttime road closures are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday nights. However, TxDOT advises that inclement weather or unforeseen issues could lead to delays or changes in the work schedule.

TxDOT also reminds local commuters that the I-30 Frontage Road system provides continuous travel eastbound from FM 989/Kings Highway to US 71/Stateline and westbound from US 71/Stateline to FM 989/Kings Highway, without any interruption at traffic signals.
