Rains County Justice of the Peace, Judge Robert Jenkins Franklin, aged 44, was arrested on Thursday, March 21, 2024, by DPS Troopers. He faces a charge of Driving While Intoxicated. His bond was set at $1,500 cash/surety bond. Judge Franklin has since posted bond and been released.
