Drug Busts in Henderson County Lead to Multiple Arrests

On March 22, 2024, Deputy Jude Bonner of the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office spotted a white Chevy Trailblazer making a turn without signaling within 100 feet in the Seven Points area. Deputy Bonner stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as 50-year-old Michael Wayne Vines Jr from the Kemp area. Following a search, Deputy Bonner found suspected methamphetamine in Vines’s possession, leading to his arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Vines was taken to Henderson County Jail, with bail set at $30,000.

Two days later, on March 24, 2024, Narcotics Investigator Jonathan Daille, along with Investigators Jonathan Barrios and Deputy Brad Beddingfield, executed a narcotics search warrant authorized by Henderson County 392nd Judicial District Judge Scott McKee and a federal arrest warrant for 47-year-old Jeremy Brent Jackson at 463 Admiral Drive, Mabank, Texas 75156. Jackson, previously arrested for Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine and weapons charges on January 19, 2024, was the target of the operation. During the search, Deputy Matthew Jistel discovered a significant quantity of suspected methamphetamine concealed in a crawl space in the attic.

Additionally, Jackson’s girlfriend, 47-year-old Jody Heather Land of Gun Barrel City, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Jackson was turned over to the US Marshals Office and Land remains in the Henderson County Jail.
