Terrel Coleman

Early Wednesday morning, on March 20th, Texarkana Police Department received multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire near the 900 block of Texas Blvd.

Witnesses described a person wearing a ski mask and a black jacket fleeing towards Main Street. Responding officers located Terrel Coleman, 31, concealed in bushes in the 800 block of Main Street. Upon instructing him to stand, authorities discovered a black jacket, ski mask, and a 9mm pistol nearby. Nine spent 9mm rounds were found nearby, along with three more in the gun's magazine. Despite Coleman's denial, evidence indicated his involvement.

The firearm was reported stolen in Bowie County, and Coleman had a prior felony conviction. Consequently, he was arrested on charges of Discharging a Firearm, Theft of a Firearm, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

Coleman posted a $20,581 bond and was released from Bi-State Jail on Thursday afternoon.
