Da’Kavion Demar Christian, a teenager charged with capital murder, has entered a guilty plea after initially rejecting a deal last month.
Christian, who was 14 years old at the time of his arrest for the shooting of 43-year-old Cornelius Tims in 2022, entered his guilty plea in Judge Taylor Heaton’s court on Thursday, March 7. Judge Heaton subsequently sentenced Christian to 45 years in a state prison.
The grand jury indictment accused Christian of intentionally causing Tims's death while attempting to rob him, resulting in a capital murder charge.
