Harrison County Deputies responded to a report on March 17, 2024, from a resident on Smelley Rd near Longview. The complainant informed authorities that a woman, driving a black Chevy Malibu, had broken down in front of her residence.
According to the complainant, the woman approached her and requested the use of the restroom while waiting for assistance. Granting permission, the complainant allowed the woman inside. After help arrived and the woman's vehicle was back on the road, the complainant noticed her diamond wedding ring was missing from a jewelry box in the restroom.
