On Thursday, March 14, 2024, the Harrison County Sheriff's Office 911 received a peculiar call from a woman, prompting a response from deputies. The caller expressed a need for a Deputy to intervene without specifying the imminent event, but saying the Deputy needed to "respond for what was about to happen".
According to dispatchers, the woman mentioned a confrontation she intended to initiate regarding a bucket. Deputies were dispatched to the scene on Preston Johnson Road in Harleton, TX, to assess the situation.
Upon arrival, deputies encountered a disoriented individual identified as Flanagan, stumbling in the front yard. Allegations surfaced suggesting Flanagan, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, had assaulted two people over the purported theft of a small plastic bucket.
Following the incident, authorities took 43-year-old Charleen Francis Flanagan into custody. Flanagan, a resident of Harleton, was subsequently booked into the Harrison County Jail on charges of Assault and Public Intoxication.
In the judicial process that followed, Flanagan was fined $750 for her actions. She was later released from custody with a disposition of "Time Served - Fines Paid."
