The Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with several law enforcement agencies, carried out a set of compliance checks on 152 registered sex offenders in the county. Out of the 152 individuals, officers tried to reach 85 of them.
Among those contacted, officers directly engaged with 49. Authorities found three offenders to be non-compliant. Furthermore, they arrested 20 individuals on various charges, which encompassed possession of child sex abuse material, aggravated sexual assault of a child, two for continuous sexual assault of a child, and three for indecency.
