Wood County Sheriff Deputies responded to a report of shots fired on County Road 3909 on February 29, 2024. The incident occurred during an argument, according to the caller, who stated that the suspect fired a round and they responded in kind. Deputies swiftly located the suspect and conducted a traffic stop.
The driver, identified as 19-year-old Caden Pruitt from Hawkins, was taken into custody. Pruitt faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a controlled substance. Additionally, the passenger, Rashae Abercrombie, was also arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
