Narcotics Raid in Marshall Leads to Multiple Arrests and Drug Charge

Decorian Keshun Stewart, Savion Dashawn Hicks and Taylor Roshelle Dotie

On Friday, March 8, 2024, law enforcement agencies carried out a narcotics search warrant at 507 Walnut in Marshall, Texas. The operation involved the Joint Harrison County Violent Crime and Narcotics Task Force, Harrison County Emergency Response Team, and Marshall Police Department Special Response Team. The warrant was secured following an investigation indicating methamphetamine distribution from the location.

During the execution of the warrant, officials found 25-year-old Decorian Keshun Stewart, 21-year-old Savion Dashawn Hicks, and 23-year-old Taylor Roshelle Dotie inside the premises. Stewart attempted to dispose of methamphetamine by flushing it down the toilet upon the team's entry. Subsequent search efforts uncovered approximately 5.6 grams of methamphetamine, less than two ounces of marijuana, about 5.7 grams of Diazepam (Valium), and one 9mm handgun.

Stewart faces charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 (more than 4 grams and less than 200 grams) and Tampering with Evidence. Dotie has been charged with Possession of Marijuana under 2 ounces and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 3 (less than 28 grams). Hicks faces charges of Possession of Marijuana under 2 ounces and has two outstanding arrest warrants from Harrison County.

Due to the proximity of 507 Walnut to East Texas Baptist University (within 1000 feet), all drug charges have been elevated to Drug-Free Zone violations. All three individuals were taken into custody without incident and booked into the Harrison County Jail.
