Greenville Police Department Releases February Activity Report

Greenville Police Department (GPD) recently unveiled its February Monthly Activity Report, shedding light on the law enforcement's activities for the month.

According to the report, GPD conducted a total of 898 traffic stops throughout February, while responding to 3,047 calls for service. The department made 77 arrests during this period.

In terms of traffic incidents, there were 48 collisions without injury and 22 collisions with injury reported. Additionally, there were 17 hit-and-run cases.

Regarding property crimes, the report indicates 14 burglaries, including 6 vehicle burglaries, and 39 thefts. Moreover, there were 76 cases of criminal trespassing reported.

Disturbingly, the report highlights a concerning trend in violent incidents. There were a total of 17 assaults and 23 cases of family violence reported in February. The frequency of family violence incidents, nearly one per day, is particularly alarming for a month with fewer days.
