Police responded to a reported theft in progress on Wednesday night in the 3100 block of NE Loop. Following the incident, officers pursued a suspect's vehicle, which had allegedly stolen a trailer and welder. The pursuit came to a halt in the 3400 block of Tigertown Road.
Marquis Deshawn Simpson, 19, and Shawnee Donalan, 17, were apprehended by law enforcement officers and charged with Theft over $2,500.00 but under $30,000.00. The suspects were taken into custody without any issues and subsequently booked into Lamar County Jail.
Both Simpson and Donalan are being held on a $2,000 bond.
