Paris Police Arrest Woman for Drug Possession and Tampering

Susan Michelle Larkin

A routine traffic stop in Paris led to the arrest of a woman for drug possession and tampering on Wednesday.

A Paris Police officer pulled over a vehicle in the 200 block of NE 13th Street after observing an occupant throwing a white paper bag out of the passenger window, suspected of littering.

Upon investigation, officers discovered the bag contained methamphetamine, packaged for resale. The occupants initially denied knowledge of the bag.

Another officer arrived at the scene and identified the suspect as Susan Michelle Larkin, 52, who had provided a false name, "Tammy Rose."

"Larkin admitted to having given the wrong name because of a previous narcotics charge from another county," stated the police report.

Larkin was subsequently charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Tampering with Evidence, and Failure to Identify as a Fugitive from Justice. In addition, she was arrested for the outstanding charge from the other county.
