Final autopsy results have been released for Trenton “Trent” Lee Staneart, a 24-year-old man from Henderson, who was found dead in January. Staneart was last seen leaving the Anderson County Jail on January 20 and was declared missing two days later. Community volunteers and officials discovered a body in a creek off East Lacy Street in Palestine on January 28, less than a mile from where Staneart was last seen. The body was later identified as Staneart by the Palestine Police Department.
According to a news release from the Palestine Police Department on Monday, Staneart died by drowning, and the cause of death was ruled as accidental. Police stated there is no evidence of foul play in the case.
Toxicology results revealed that Staneart had consumed marijuana prior to his death, according to the department.
