Lufkin Police Department is investigating a report of shots fired at Green Meadows Apartments on Thursday afternoon, February 28th. At 2:45 p.m., officers responded to the complex in the 3300 block of Lotus Lane where they found a woman bleeding from the leg. A medical unit was called to the scene, but the woman refused medical transport.
Witnesses reported seeing four black juvenile males fleeing the scene on foot before officers arrived. Patrol officers and detectives conducted a search of the area and, as of 5 p.m., had detained two juvenile suspects.
According to witnesses, there had been an ongoing dispute between the parties involved. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
