On March 2, 2024, a traffic stop conducted by a Harrison County Deputy occurred on Louisiana St. in Marshall, Texas. During the stop, the officer detected the smell of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. Upon contacting the driver and passenger, both were asked to exit the car.
Upon exiting, the passenger dropped a methamphetamine pipe. Subsequently, the passenger, identified as 51-year-old Patice Ann Ridens of Marshall, was detained. During a search, the deputy discovered a baggie of methamphetamine protruding from Ridens' pants. Additionally, Ridens admitted to concealing another methamphetamine pipe in her crotch area.
Ridens was subsequently arrested and booked into the county jail on charges of possession of methamphetamines and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $41,500.
