Paris Police Officers conducted a routine traffic stop on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, in the 10-block of SE Loop 286 for speeding and other traffic violations. The vehicle's occupants were identified as Jaqueah Terrell Freeman, 33, Robert Gilbert Sifuentes, 40, and Detrick Ivery Dotson, 43.
During the stop, officers noticed a round of ammunition in one of the occupants' laps, prompting them to call for backup and remove all occupants from the vehicle.
A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of Methamphetamine, PCP, and a Semi-Automatic Handgun.
Dotson was found to be in possession of various types of narcotics and claimed ownership of the handgun. Due to Dotson's status as a felon, he was charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Freeman and Sifuentes were both charged with Possession of Controlled Substances.
The Paris Police Department continues to investigate the incident.
