Forney Police Apprehend Juvenile Suspects in Armed Robbery Case, Linked to Marijuana Sale

On February 23, 2024, Forney Police Officers responded to an armed robbery in the Fox and Jacob's neighborhood west of Pinson Rd. One suspect was detained on the scene, but the second fled. Officers established a perimeter and issued an alert describing the suspect as a black male in all black clothing, possibly armed. Despite initial attempts to apprehend him, the suspect managed to evade capture, even when authorities believed they had him cornered at a residence on the 900 block of Concord.

The following day, on February 24th, around 3:00 am, officers successfully located and arrested the second suspect involved in the incident. Multiple agencies, including the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office, Precinct 2 Constables Offices, and Mesquite Police, assisted in the operation.

Following a thorough investigation, Forney PD Detectives announced confidence in having arrested all suspects involved in the robbery. It was determined that both the victims and suspects were acquainted prior to the incident.

Two juveniles will be facing charges of Aggravated Robbery and Evading Arrest or Detention in connection to the weekend's events. As they are minors, their identities will not be disclosed.

Detectives concluded that the incident was related to the sale of marijuana.
