Paris Police arrested Denetra Nicole Edwards, 41, on Sunday, February 25, 2024, following an incident of assault in the 1900 block of E. Booth. Responding to the scene, officers found Edwards intoxicated on the porch, having engaged in a physical altercation with a live-in partner at the residence. Edwards had struck the victim in the head with a bottle, causing a cut.
She was subsequently arrested for Aggravated Assault of a Family Member, as well as on a Misdemeanor warrant for Fighting in Public. Her bond was set at $5,000.
Edwards has a history of violent arrests, with prior incidents including two arrests in 2023 for assault causing bodily injury to a family member.
