Paris Police officers arrested Roberto Rubio Barahona, 40, on Thursday, February 22nd, following a disturbance call in the 3700 block of N. Main St. Responding to the call, officers found Barahona and a victim, identified as a relative of Barahona, in a vehicle on the median of the roadway.
The victim reported multiple assaults by Barahona at different locations earlier that evening, including being choked while in the vehicle. Physical evidence supported the victim's account. Barahona declined to cooperate with the investigation and was subsequently arrested for Assault of a Family member by Impeding Breath.
Officers also requested an emergency protective order for the victim.
