Cheri Elaine Maxfield, aged 50, was arrested on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, by the Criminal Investigations Division of the Paris Police Department.
The arrest followed a lengthy investigation into a theft case reported in the 500 block of N. Main on January 1st, 2022.
Maxfield stands accused of embezzlement from a workplace over the past several years, with the current amount of theft exceeding $150,000. Her bond has been set at $200,000.
The investigation remains ongoing.
