Over the past six days, Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies and investigators have showcased the impact of proactive policing, recovering nearly $300,000 in property. On February 14, 2024, their swift action led to the retrieval of several U-Haul trucks valued at approximately $35,000.
In a separate incident on February 20, 2024, investigators collaborated with an external out-of-state agency regarding a stolen vehicle traced to Kaufman County. The investigation uncovered a larger operation, with stolen vehicles linked to various locations across the United States. This ongoing probe highlights the dedication of Kaufman County Investigators to comprehensive and cross-jurisdictional efforts aimed at maintaining public safety.
