On February 14, 2024, the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Shift “B” responded to reports of a potential burglary underway at a residence in the 3000 block of Hwy 64 west.
Upon arrival, deputies encountered two individuals exiting from behind the residence, carrying tools commonly associated with burglaries. The suspects, identified as David Kirkpatrick, aged 52, and Debra Rowan, aged 59, both residents of Henderson, Texas, were promptly detained.
Subsequent investigation revealed the point of attempted entry into the residence. Kirkpatrick and Rowan were arrested at the scene and charged with the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation.
Rusk County Justice of the Peace Precinct 5, Jana Enloe, set bond for Kirkpatrick and Rowan at $15,000 each.
