Terrell Police Department veteran James Hamill, 50, was arrested and charged with theft following an internal investigation stemming from an incident on December 31, 2023.
An arrest warrant for Theft of Property was issued, alleging Hamill received payment for two off-duty security jobs he worked simultaneously.
Hamill is on paid administrative leave pending the internal affairs investigation. The case has been forwarded to the Kaufman County District Attorney's Office.
