In the early hours of Wednesday morning, a Paris Police officer initiated a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle in the 500 block of Tudor St. However, the driver chose to evade the police, leading them on a dangerous chase through residential areas and city streets.
Despite attempts by law enforcement to halt the vehicle, the driver, identified as 62-year-old Kennedy Fitzgerald Bills persisted in their reckless behavior. The pursuit finally came to a halt in the 500 block of E. Houston when Bills abandoned the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot.
Officers reacted quickly, using an Electric Control Weapon, commonly known as a Taser, to subdue Bills as he resisted arrest. Despite the efforts of law enforcement, Bills continued to struggle against the officers, resorting to physical force.
Eventually, officers managed to apprehend Bills, charging him with multiple offenses including Evading Arrest in a vehicle and on foot, as well as Resisting Arrest.
