On February 15, 2024, Mary Ann Burkett, aged 48, residing in Livingston, Texas, was arrested by Narcotics Detectives on a Felony charge of Endangering a Child with Criminal Negligence.
The arrest follows an investigation by Child Protective Services, during which a 1-year-old infant tested positive for methamphetamine. The levels detected indicated consistent exposure of the child to the drug. Mary Ann Burkett was apprehended without any resistance and has been booked into the Polk County Jail.
