On February 13, 2024, Paris Police officers responded to a disturbance in the 1000 block of SE 6th at 6:30 pm.
Upon arrival, they encountered Thomas Duane Taylor, 66, on the front porch of a residence. Taylor's use of loud and vulgar language caused disturbance among nearby residents. Despite repeated warnings, Taylor continued his behavior and was subsequently arrested for Disorderly Conduct.
During the arrest, Taylor attempted to physically assault the officers with his fists, leading to further charges of Resisting Arrest.
Notably, Taylor had previously served a little over a month in jail for Criminal Trespass and had been released on January 11, 2024.
