Paris Police Officers responded to a report of a man with a gun on Tuesday at 12:07 PM in the 2000 block of Hubbard St. Upon arrival, they found Ryan Colby Floyd, 38, in the 1900 block of Hubbard St.
Floyd was in possession of a loaded handgun, leading to his arrest by the officers. Although the serial number on the firearm had been tampered with, law enforcement managed to decipher it. Subsequently, they discovered that the handgun had been stolen in a Lamar County sheriff’s office case.
Floyd was charged with Theft of a Firearm and Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm.
