On November 30, 2023, The Harrison County Sheriff's Office took a report regarding possession of child pornography and aggravated sexual assault of a child. The report stated a video was seen of Christopher Hunter Rosenthal sexually assaulting children ages three, five, and seven. The repot also stated that Rosenthal was utilizing the social media app Snapchat.
A search warrant for Rosenthal's Snapchat account was executed. During the investigation through his account, a video was found to contain Rosenthal sexually assaulting a two-year-old child. His account also had explicit photos of four children.
As a result of the findings, two arrest warrnats for Rosenthal were issued for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and Possession of Child Pornography.
Rosenthal was arrested on February 5, 2024 by the Ward County Sheriff's Office in Monahan, West Texas, and will be tradited back to Harrison County to face the charges.
The case is still under investigation.
