On Thursday, February 8, 2024, a Harrison County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling at 100 MPH on Highway 80 in the city of Marshall. The driver, identified as 34-year-old Jessica Lachelle Branch of Marshall, stated that she was driving recklessly as a form of therapy due to anger towards her ex-boyfriend. Branch was subsequently arrested and transported to the Harrison County Jail.
Additionally, a passenger in the vehicle, identified as 21-year-old Brandon Lee Ramsey of Marshall, was found to be intoxicated during the encounter and became disorderly. Ramsey was also arrested and taken to the Harrison County Jail, where he was fined $350.
Branch has been charged with Reckless Driving and is being held on a $1,500 bond.
