On February 5, 2024, Sgt. William from the Wood County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a reckless driver near the Wood and Hopkins County line on Hwy 154.
Witnesses reported the vehicle was swerving, disregarding stop signs, and a woman was attempting to exit the moving vehicle.
The authorities located the vehicle parked on a nearby road in Wood County. Upon investigation, it was discovered that a disturbance had occurred between the occupants, including the presence of an infant in the vehicle.
Michael Dean Daniels of Chandler, Texas, was arrested on charges of Assault Family Violence, Endangering a Child, and a Parole Warrant. He is currently held on a $30,000 bond along with a blue warrant issued by the Texas Parole Board.
