On February 3, 2024, Sgt Cox and Deputy Nichols of the Wood County Sheriff's Office responded to an accident on County Road 4440.
The victim reported being in an argument with her husband, leaving the residence, and returning to collect her son. She noticed her husband following her in a vehicle and then ramming into her vehicle.
James Robert Short of Winnsboro was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His bond was set at $50,000.
