Last Friday morning, the Texarkana Police Department received a call regarding the theft of ammunition from Academy Sports. The suspects, four young men wearing red hoodies, had fled the scene in a gold Chevrolet sedan. Despite an initial search in the area, the vehicle could not be located.
About an hour later, another call came in from Ross Dress for Less, reporting a similar incident involving four individuals in red hoodies stealing items and leaving in a gold car. Fortunately, Officers Brady Cooper, Jordan Starkey, and Joe Rochelle were nearby and managed to intercept the suspects in the parking lot.
Upon stopping the vehicle, Officer Cooper identified the four individuals as the same ones seen in the Academy Sports surveillance footage. A search of the car revealed new clothing items with tags from Ross, Burlington Coat Factory, and another store. Additionally, officers discovered brand new gun magazines and two boxes of ammunition.
Surprisingly, further investigation revealed that the suspects had also stolen items from Burlington Coat Factory, as confirmed by the store manager through video evidence.
The Texarkana Police Department arrested Vincent Threadgill (18), Jamarjay Williams (17), Jaqaveyies Williams (17), and Kaderies Williams (23) for Organized Retail Theft. All four individuals were booked into the Bi-State Jail with a bond set at $10,000 each. As of now, they remain in custody.
