Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) investigators successfully apprehended Jabora Dewayne Wallace, 33, on Thursday morning, February 1, 2024. Wallace had been sought in connection with a violent assault case that occurred on December 19, 2023, at a residence in the 7700 block of CR 808.
According to NCSO deputies, they responded to a call reporting an assault at the mentioned address, where Wallace allegedly struck a woman and a 13-year-old child. The suspect fled the scene before deputies arrived. The adult victim sustained multiple injuries from the assault, while the child was reportedly struck several times with a piece of wall flashing. Fortunately, both victims' injuries were deemed non-life threatening.
Despite an extensive search by deputies in the surrounding areas, Wallace remained elusive. Investigators subsequently secured two warrants for his arrest: one for a second-degree felony of assault family violence with a deadly weapon and another for a third-degree felony of injury to a child.
On the morning of February 1, 2024, Wallace voluntarily surrendered himself to the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office.
