On January 25, 2024, Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call for service about a possible Burglary of a Habitation at the 1500 block of CR 103. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the complainant, who reported encountering three Hispanic males leaving his mother’s residence. The suspects fled in a black pick-up truck after forcing open the front door. The complainant managed to capture a photo of the truck, including its license plate.
Further investigation by deputies led to the positive identification of the black truck, and its registration address was traced to Terrell, Texas. With assistance from the Terrell Police Department, all three suspects were apprehended. They are currently awaiting legal proceedings at the Kaufman County Law Enforcement Center, facing charges of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, a first-degree felony.
The investigation is ongoing.
