In Paris, Texas, on Wednesday, January 24th, at 10:23 am, Paris Police officers were involved in a vehicle burglary case in the 1800 block of Jackson St. The incident resulted in the theft of various items, including a cell phone. The victim, determined to recover their belongings, tracked the phone to a nearby address. Unable to establish contact with anyone at the residence, they sought assistance from law enforcement.
Officers responded to the call and successfully made contact at the identified address. During the investigation, the stolen phone and other property belonging to the victim were recovered and returned. Subsequently, a juvenile was arrested on an outstanding directive to apprehend.
Later in the day, officers returned to the same area in response to an assault that occurred as a retaliation for the initial incident. The assault is currently under investigation by the authorities.
