Multiple firefighting crews swiftly responded to a fire at the Pittsburg Independent School District (ISD) bus maintenance facility early Tuesday morning. The incident occurred at the bus barn located on Broach Street, opposite the junior high campus, at approximately 4:00 am.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and none of the buses parked at the facility suffered damage. The fire originated in the shop area, and the Central Administration Building adjacent to the bus barn experienced smoke damage.
Despite the incident, Pittsburg ISD assured that all bus routes ran as scheduled, and there were no disruptions to school operations or schedules. The prompt response from firefighters contributed to containing the fire and preventing further damage.
