In the early hours of Sunday morning, at 1:42 am on January 21st, Paris Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of N Main after observing a vehicle weaving across multiple lanes. The driver, identified as Michael Dylan Worden, 28, was found to be intoxicated. Worden was subsequently arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI).
Following the arrest, officers obtained a warrant for Worden's blood. At the hospital where the blood draw was to take place, Worden attempted to leave the room. In response, he resisted officers, leading to his restraint during the blood draw. In addition to the DWI charge, Worden now faces charges of Resisting Arrest. He was booked without incident. He posted bail of $4,500 and was released the same day.
