Rockwall City Council Election Set for May 4, 2024

The City of Rockwall has announced that an election will take place on May 4, 2024, to elect three City Councilmembers for Places 2, 4, and 6. The terms for all elected council members will be for a period of two years.

Incumbents Mark Moeller (Place 2), Sedric Thomas (Place 4), and Anna Campbell (Place 6) are eligible for reelection. Residents interested in running for Rockwall City Council can find an informational candidate packet at City Hall (385 S. Goliad on the 3rd floor, City Secretary’s Office) and online for download on the City Secretary’s webpage at http://www.rockwall.com/citysec.asp. The application period for a place on the May 4 election ballot runs from Wednesday, January 17, through Friday, February 16.

The Rockwall County Elections Department is expected to administer the municipal election, with early voting taking place from Monday, April 22, through Tuesday, April 30 (excluding Sunday). Election Day voting is scheduled for Saturday, May 4. Detailed information on specific polling locations, dates, and times will be provided on the city website and the Rockwall County Elections Department website once available.
