In the early hours of January 12, 2024, the Delta County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary alarm call from the Lambert Lumber Company located in the 1800 block of W. Dallas. The alarm was raised by an alarm company at approximately 1:35 a.m.
Upon arrival a few minutes later, deputies discovered signs of forced entry through a back door. Store management, present at the scene, granted access to the deputies for a thorough search of the premises.
The investigation revealed that the suspect(s) targeted brand-new lawn care equipment, stealing several pieces. A detailed list of the stolen items, complete with serial numbers, has been compiled and entered into the national database as stolen property.
As of now, law enforcement has limited leads and is seeking assistance from the public. It is believed that the stolen equipment, identified as Stihl lawn equipment, may be circulated through online platforms such as social media or other avenues.
