On Thursday, January 18, 2024, at around 8:25 pm, Deputy David Robertson initiated a traffic stop in the Athens area due to multiple traffic violations. The driver, identified as Jesse Lee Webb from Athens, was discovered to be on probation for possession charges.
Deputy Robertson, assisted by K-9 Kan, conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle, resulting in a positive alert for narcotics.
A subsequent search led to the discovery of numerous syringes and a glass jar containing a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamines. Jesse Lee Webb was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance and transported to the Henderson County Jail.
On January 19, 2024, at approximately 1:40 am, Narcotic Investigator Jonathan Daille and Investigator Jonathan Barrios executed a search warrant signed by Henderson County Judge Scott Williams at 28124 Private Road 6103, Kemp, Texas 75143.
During the search, investigators found a substantial quantity of suspected methamphetamine (236 grams) along with a digital scale commonly used for weighing narcotics. Additionally, a rifle, two firearms, and drug paraphernalia were discovered at the residence.
Jeremy Brent Jackson, the resident, was arrested at the scene and transported to the Henderson County Jail. Jackson faces charges of manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance over two hundred grams and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
Both Jesse Lee Webb and Jeremy Brent Jackson are currently awaiting arraignment.
