On January 11, 2023, the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office conducted a controlled substance search warrant at 1884 CR 4131 Henderson, Rusk County, Texas. The operation resulted in the seizure of suspected methamphetamine and packaging materials associated with its distribution.
Additionally, two reported stolen vehicles from Cherokee County and welding equipment, also reported stolen from Cherokee County, were confiscated during the investigation. The estimated value of the seized vehicles and property is forty thousand dollars ($40,000.00).
Scotty Womack, 42, of Henderson, was arrested at the scene and charged with the criminal offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1 (methamphetamine). Justice of the Peace Pct # 5 Jana Enloe set Womack's bond at fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000.00). Charges related to the reported stolen property in Cherokee County are pending against Womack.
The search warrant was issued by Rusk County Court at Law Judge Chad Dean. The operation was a collaborative effort involving members of the Henderson Police Department, Mt. Enterprise Police Department, and the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office. The search warrant stemmed from an investigation initiated by Rusk County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Shift D and further pursued by the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division.
