In a recent incident, Rowlett Police officers successfully apprehended individuals involved in a foot pursuit after a traffic stop. The incident unfolded today at approximately 12:28 PM when officers observed a stolen vehicle with expired registration.
Upon attempting a traffic stop, the vehicle briefly traveled in the wrong lane on Lakeview Pkwy before entering a parking lot at 8500 Lakeview Pkwy, where it came to a stop. Four individuals, including two juveniles and two adults, fled on foot.
Additional officers arrived at the scene, and a coordinated effort led to the successful apprehension of all suspects. The charges vary, with the driver facing charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and evading in a vehicle, while the other suspects are charged with evading on foot.
