On January 10, 2024, the Nacogdoches Police Department responded to a major accident on NE Stallings Road, between University and Appleby Sand Rd. The incident required the closure of the roadway to attend to the victims and conduct a preliminary investigation.
The victim of the fatal accident that occurred on Wednesday afternoon in the 3700 block of N.E. Stallings Dr has been identified as 23-year-old Timothy Embargo, a resident of Nacogdoches, TX. According to the preliminary findings, Mr. Embargo was traveling westbound in a 2019 white BMW when he crossed over into the eastbound lanes. This resulted in a collision with a 2013 Ford F750, which was traveling eastbound in the 3700 block of N.E. Stallings Dr.
Both the driver and the passenger of the Ford suffered minor injuries and were transported to the Hospital by EMS.
The investigation is ongoing.
