Mount Pleasant Police Conduct Successful Compliance Checks on Registered Sex Offenders

On January 8, 2024, the Mount Pleasant Police Department (MPPD) conducted compliance checks on all registered sex offenders residing within the city limits. The objective of these checks was to verify addresses and other pertinent information concerning registered sex offenders, ensuring their adherence to the terms and conditions of their registrant status as mandated by Texas CCP Chapter 62.

Throughout the operation, the following outcomes were reported:

  • 2 individuals were arrested on felony charges for violations related to compliance.
  • 3 felony warrants were sought in connection with compliance violations.

The individuals arrested for compliance violations were identified as Bryan Jimenez-Hernandez (31) and Kevlin Jerome Heath (45). Both were subsequently booked into the Titus County Jail.

It is noted that there are presently 31 registered sex offenders residing within the city limits of Mount Pleasant.
