In the early hours of Saturday, January 6, 2024, a Paris Police officer engaged 36-year-old Justin Lee Foster in the 1700 block of Jackson St. for walking in the roadway. Foster declined to follow the officer's instructions and ignored orders to place his hands on the patrol vehicle. Subsequently, Foster fled the scene on foot.
Law enforcement officers pursued Foster, eventually apprehending him. During the arrest, Foster resisted officers and continued to struggle until he was successfully handcuffed. He now faces charges of Evading Arrest and Resisting Arrest.
