On January 4, 2024, at approximately 9:27 PM, Rowlett Police and Fire/EMS responded to a vehicle accident on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 30 at Dalrock Road.
Upon arrival, authorities found a two-vehicle collision. Unfortunately, one of the drivers involved was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The RPD Traffic Unit took charge of the investigation, leading to the closure of all eastbound lanes for several hours as officers worked to examine the accident site.
As of now, no additional details regarding the incident have been released. The investigation is ongoing.
